Drift

With ‘Drift’, the Galerie im Chiemgauhof presents an impressive exhibition by the artists Anna Hölzl and Bokyeom Kwon, which opens up a sensory dialogue on materiality, states of matter and the principle of fluidity.

Anna Hölzl works at the interface between illusion and reality. Her sculptures, made of glass, metal and mirrors, appear soft and fluid, yet are solid and precisely formed. Through light and reflection, the boundaries between surface and substance blur in her works – challenging the viewer to question their own perception. With a keen sense of form and context, Hölzl creates a quiet poetry of the everyday that unites craftsmanship and concept.

Bokyeom Kwon, for her part, transports the viewer into flowing spaces of colour with her large-format canvases. Through delicate layers of acrylic and ink, she creates compositions of meditative stillness – like mist that slowly clears or thickens. Her series *Floating*, *Glow* and *Serenity* revolve around states of transition: between energy and stillness, presence and absence. Kwon’s works appear as visual echoes of inner sensations.

In their interplay, Hölzl’s sculptures and Kwon’s paintings unfold a subtle dialogue about movement and stillness, solidity and dissolution. *Drift* invites visitors to explore the fluid as a creative principle in material and colour, form and space.
