The Herrenchiemsee Festival is one of Germany’s most renowned classical music festivals. Every summer, the magnificent Hall of Mirrors at Herrenchiemsee Palace on Herreninsel becomes a stage for leading international orchestras, soloists and conductors.
The unique atmosphere is created by the combination of music, architecture and landscape: guests reach the islands by boat across Lake Chiemsee and enjoy concerts against the historic backdrop of the palace built by King Ludwig II. Further selected performances take place on Fraueninsel at Frauenwörth Abbey.
The festival programme is one of the cultural highlights of the Chiemgau region.
